GREAT workout today! I started putting Jillian on my tv and putting one of my shows on on my computer right next to it. I feel like I could do this all day! And I don’t know why, but for whatever reason, 30 Day Shred has been so much easier. I felt like this all last week and I was just getting back into workout-mode again. I was out of town all weekend and hadn’t even thought about working out and I started back today and it still feels pretty dang easy. Maybe it’s strictly from clean eating? I’m not sure. Whatever, I’ll take it. I’m going to move up a level in 30 Day Shred and continue to do things on top of that.

Things are going alright. Saturday and Sunday, I ate healthy all day then cheated at night. Yesterday I did great.

Breakfast: Green Monster Shake (banana, peanut butter, Oikos yogurt, soy milk, spinach)
Lunch: Tuna melt (tuna with light mayonnaise on a Ezekiel english muffin)
Snack: tomato with balsamic dressing
Dinner: grilled chicken and sauteed red and green pepper on a brown rice tortilla

My only weakness is alcohol hahaha. No, but seriously. I love beer. And I enjoy having one with dinner or with friends when they’re over, which happens quite frequently. I’m trying to cut down, but it’s hard. It’s the one thing I can’t do. That, and Diet Coke. Ahhhhhh. I also need to drink more water!!! I don’t know how many times I have to tell myself that!!

Today I ate well for breakfast and now I’m just trying to get the motivation to work out, which is why I’m on here!

I have been slacking so bad. It’s been over two weeks since I’ve last posted anything. I was still continuing to eat well, but I stopped exercising. I lost five pounds which was great. But I’ve gone back to bad eating habits. Not TERRIBLE, but not what I want. Today I started back again. I had Ezekiel toast and a banana for breakfast, and a hamburger (without the bun), a little bit of grilled chicken, and green beans for lunch. I’ve already had about half of my water for today so that’s good. I really just need to get back on track.

Day 4 and 5

OKAY. I don’t really have much to say about either days other than today I was just completely beat. I didn’t feel like working out at all. I did, but I half assed it and should have just stayed in bed. Okay no, but I really could’ve done better. I know my body needs a days rest, but I need to save those days for this weekend when I’m super busy. UGH!

Day 4 Meals:
Breakfast- Green Monster shake (one frozen banana, peanut butter, Chobani vanilla yogurt, milk, spinach)
Lunch- tuna, 4 melbatoasts
Snack- Pure Protein shake
Dinner- chicken burrito from Chipotle

So I shouldn’t have eaten the burrito. But it could have been worse. And I really wanted it. At least it was all natural. And I got the brown rice.

Day 5 Meals:
Breakfast: 2 pieces of Ezekiel bread, one egg, strawberries
Lunch: One Food For Life brown rice tortilla with peanut butter, celery with peanut butter
Snack: Pure Protein bar
Dinner: Chicken salad with fat free ranch and hot sauce

I was SOOOO excited when I found Ezekiel bread and brown rice tortillas at my grocery store yesterday. I was nervous that it wouldn’t be good, but I thought it tasted great. I was reading up on whole wheat products (which I love) and totally had my world rocked when I found out they weren’t as good for me as I thought. I’m all about burning fat and they apparently don’t do that. So I’m really glad I found the Ezekiel bread and that I like it.

Ughhhh I really don’t want to work out today. But I know I should. I won’t be able to Saturday and Sunday so I have to for the rest of the week. I’m just so tiredddd.

Day 2

Today was pretty good! I couldn’t force myself out of bed early enough to work out, so I just planned on working out twice after work. I got home around 6 and ate dinner. Then I did Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones, took a break for about an hour, and then did 30 Day Shred. Well, most of it. I was so tired by that point that I couldn’t get off the ground after circuit 2. It didn’t help that my 120 German shepherd saw that I was on the floor and decided to lay right next to me, taking up all the space. Oh well. At least I did most of it!

Breakfast- scrambled eggs (1 egg, 2 egg whites, mushrooms)
Lunch- Celery and peanut butter, banana
Snack- Protein shake (Monster Milk, chocolate)
Dinner- Fish, green beans, mushrooms, watermelon and strawberries.

I also had a couple handfuls of almonds somewhere throughout there. Now today I feel like I could have eaten less. I kept eating almonds because I was bored at work. From now on I think I’ll take exactly one handful instead of the whole bag. I feel like I ate a lot at dinner. Most of my meal was fruits and vegetables though, so I’m trying to tell myself that that’s okay. Al ltogether, it was a pretty good day.

Day 1

Pretty good first day! Woke up at 8am and did Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Had to work from 10-6 and I planned on doing No More Trouble Zones after. Instead, I was asked to babysit from 6-11 and since babysitting = money and Jillian Michaels = death, I chose to babysit. It was a good thing I already got a workout in.

Breakfast- scrambled eggs (1 egg, 2 egg whites)
Lunch- celery and peanut butter, handful of cocoa dusted almonds
Snack- banana, handful of cocoa dusted almonds
Dinner- Thai salad from Panera Bread

Looking back, I probably need to increase my calorie intake. I’m trying not to count them and just focus eating healthy things, but I definitely need to eat roughly 100-200 more calories. I could probably improve in the lunch area. Overall, good day!
